Healthy Schools

We are proud to be a Healthy School and we work hard to ensure our children learn how to keep themselves healthy, active and safe.

All children are kindly given a water bottle by the PTA when they join us in the Early Years Foundation Stage.  Our children are encouraged to drink water at school and have access to water fountains around school grounds.

All children are able to partake in a free fruit or vegetable snack at breaktime.

Our children are provided with Universal Free School Meals by our local provider based at the Risborough Hub Kitchen.  We encourage all children to eat healthily and do not allow sweets or chocolate to be eaten at school.

The children all have PE lessons as part of the curriculum.  They also have access to sport clubs during lunchtimes.  Sports activities over the year include tennis,  football, tag rugby, rounders, multi-skills and keep fit.

During the summer months the children are encouraged to stay safe in the sun.  Summer hats can be bought from the school office and children are kept in the shaded areas of the school grounds during the midday sun.  Children are all encouraged to bring in sun cream to apply before playtimes and PE lessons.
