School Council

Haddenham Community Infant School has a School Council which consists of six children (two each from Reception, Year One and Year Two).  The purpose of School Council is that the children have their say and voice their ideas for the school.

The School Council meets regularly with Mrs Mitchener to discuss new ideas and to work on projects to improve the provision for all children at Haddenham Community Infant School.

The children have previously been involved in developing play times and creating a more attractive outside environment for learning.  They have also helped research new books for our school library.

This year our School Council was visited by Haddenham Library and were asked what they could do for us to encourage us to visit the library more.  We put on our thinking caps and Angus came up with the brilliant idea of a Living Library.  Angus asked if the library could help bring books alive for instance if we read a story about a digger then could they then have a real digger to explore.  So that is exactly what happened.  Each class has visited the Living Library at Haddenham several times and has found it so interesting.
