Year Reception - Forest Schools

1st April 2017

"If you go down to the woods today...you might just spot our Reception Class taking part in Forest School. The children have really enjoyed the sessions sor far this Spring with the Ernest Hamilton Trust at Eythrope, and are looking forward to our remaining three visits.

During the sessions, the children have used natural materials to create butterfly life-cycles, dens and even Jack's beanstalk. But I think the highlights for them have been their independent learning, hunting for minibeasts, developing role-play games in the setting, made amazing discoveries...including the composting toilet!

We would like to say a big thank you to the parents who have been able to join us so far for our visits and hope they have enjoyed them as much as we have!"
